The Long Barn is a spacious, luxurious retreat, restored and styled to the highest standard. Originally an open fronted stone barn, the structure served as the blacksmith’s workshop for the 10 carriage horses that were housed at the Stables. This superior conversion has preserved the character of the barn through the retention of the original A-frame of the building whilst creating some truly inspirational design features through two parallel spiral staircases leading to mezannine gallaries.

The large spacious living area has been decorated and styled to the highest standard providing a really special place to stay. Double French doors in the living area will lead you to the private garden with barbeque and garden furniture. This is a really special property with a great feel to it.

Wetroom: Wetroom shower, WC and wash hand basin below the mezzanine in the main living area providing an independent washing area.

Master Bedroom:  Superking size bed.  A roll top bath stands in the bedroom with a seperate wc and double stylish porcelain sinks set on a black granite top providing a luxury washing area. A second spiral staircase accesses a folly mezzanine area with a single futon for an additional child/guest if necessary.
Mezzanine Gallery: Overlooking the open plan area below and accessed by a spiral staircase in the living area.  The Gallery houses a kingsize fitted double bed.

 

Local Area

Situated in the west of Herefordshire on the border with Wales this property provides opportunities to explore the County of Herefordshire and  the beautiful Welsh hills and the Offas Dyke path. 

A short car journey will take you to Hay on Wye the home to the annual and world famous literary festival.  This is an ideal base for antique hunting in Kington and Leominster or an opportunity to  sample the gastronomic delights of Ludlow, home to the annual Ludlow Food Festival. There are also lots of local pursuits including walking, golf, mountain biking, riding, canoeing, shooting and go-karting.
